Innovation and Productivity Event for Sheet-Metal and Fabrication Industry - a success with strong attendance and sales of the latest in Trumpf Equipment
Lister Machine Tools Ltd recently hosted an exhibition of the latest in sheet-metal and fabrication technology at their premises in Dublin.
On display were the latest products from the Trumpf Group, which is one of the world's leading companies in production technology and the recent winner of a "Best of European Business Award" in the innovation category. At entry level, the new Trumpf TC1000R punching and nibbling sheet metal centre, together with the new Trumpf C120 press brake, was shown. The centrepiece of the show was the top of the range Trumpf TC5000R sheet metal punching machine for up to 8mm mild steel, complete with full automation and equipped with the latest in folding, tapping and roller technology. This was complemented by the newest in high speed and high precision press brake technology, the Trumpf V850.
There was strong attendance from customers throughout Ireland and customers from Northern Ireland. Trumpf application specialists were on-hand to discuss customer requirements and how products from the Trumpf range could help meet these requirements.
All 4 show machines were sold. EBM concluded the sale for the TC5000 punching machine with automation and the V850 press brake. Peterson Engineering concluded the sale for the TC1000 punching machine, adding to their Trumpf punching capacity which already includes a TC200 and TC5000 punching machines. McAree Engineering purchased the C120 press brake, adding to their Trumpf fleet which already includes 2 lasers, 1 TC5000 and 3 Trumabend machines.
There was strong interest in both entry level machines - i.e. the TC1000 and the C120 press brake with a number of good enquiries generated. Overall feedback from customers was very positive. The ability to see the latest technology without having to travel abroad was cited by many as the reason for attending.
