TruPunch 5000
The fastest and most productive punching machine in the world
The TruPunch 5000 provides impressive proof that punching technology is a whole lot more than just a known and time-proven technology. In particular, its high productivity makes this machine an interesting alternative to laser cutting machines.

| Automation |
From semi-automatic loading to fully-automatic manufacturing cell |
It is the high acceleration rates of the TruPunch 5000 that make it so exceptionally productive. This has been partially achieved by integrating weight-reduced components and through the use of newly-designed drives, water-cooled for the first time ever. The Y axis features a gantry drive, i.e. it has two separate motors that are synchronized without mechanical connection via the control. This concepts enables extremely high acceleration rates to be attained even in the Y axis:
• X axis acceleration over 2g
• Y axis over 1g
Forming at close to punching speed
The TruPunch 5000 punches at a hit rate of up to 1,200 strokes/min or up to 2,800 strokes/min when marking. At the same time, the acceleration rate and the speed of C axis rotation have increased significantly; this, in turn, enables contouring and tapping at high speed.
• Hit rate: 1200 strokes per minute, 2800 when marking
• Rotation: The C axis rotates at 350 RPM
• High-speed forming: Variable forming height makes for short stroke lengths, forming almost at punching speed
Innovative tool technology
The punch, stripper and die are monitored by sensors during tool change, thereby ensuring process reliability.
• TRUMPF Multibend: Produce right-angled bends on outer and inner edges up to 25 mm
• TRUMPF Multishear: By using this tool, it is virtually impossible to differentiate between a punched and a lasered edge
• Roller technology: Enables roller shearing, roller beading, roller offsetting and roller pinching
• Fast tool change: Less than 3 seconds for single tools and a mere 0.7 seconds within a Multitool
In addition to this, the optional brush tables help to meet the increasing demands for low-scratch parts fabrication.
Automation - tailored for high productivity
Thanks to its modular automation concept, the TC 5000 R can be expanded
into a system for fully automated operation, with every finished
part being removed automatically.
Online Help - E-shop for ordering spare parts
The open control system of the machine guarantees easy operation. The Online Help answers questions as they arise, the diagnostic concept registers faults and displays possible solutions in plain language. Teleservice via the built-in modem is a matter of course.
For the customer's convenience, an E-Shop is available for spare parts orders. The parts can be ordered both from the machine control or from a PC with Internet connection.
